Dell PC Case - RPicard - 10-03-2009 I have a Dimensions 2350 and like many others, I think the case is fairly boring. it's my understanding that Dell doesn't make their motherboards to any particular standard so I figured that in order to change the case I will need to upgrade the mobo. Any thoughts? It's not that I'm against upgrading, I just would rather spend the money for one instead of two if I can. RE: Dell PC Case - Raptor Jesus - 10-03-2009 Get an EVGA x58 CLASSIFIED if you have the money. If not pick out a nice ASUS for yourself . I'll probably end up with an ASUS. RE: Dell PC Case - Omniscient - 10-04-2009 Dell Mobo's are custom to their specs. One big complaint is the lack of ability to overclock on a Dell. The cases are similar. You would be able to just swap any ATX board in them. Maybe we can list some Dell cases where the boards are standard. That would be pretty helpful if anyone knows or can find out. I've been looking around but I haven't found anything yet. RE: Dell PC Case - Austin - 10-05-2009 I thought that as long at is was an ATX case it would fit? I never thought it would be any different. I will do some googling later and see if I can find info for you. RE: Dell PC Case - St0rmW1nd - 10-05-2009 Buy a custom gaming case and maybe upgrade a few parts along the way ;) RE: Dell PC Case - Camgaertner - 10-05-2009 If you upgrade the mobo you will end up upgrading everything. Same thing goes for any part of the computer. (Happened to me lol) RE: Dell PC Case - St0rmW1nd - 10-05-2009 That's what I said, it is always nice to upgrade RE: Dell PC Case - INCARNATIO - 10-12-2009 the latest dell i work with in my office baffles me; its Dell Optiplex GX400, with 4 ram slots, 2 of the same kind and the other of the same kind equally......................i think i need an explanation on that...............if you guys have got any..............................thanks |
