I think you should take a look at some photoshop tutorials.

You need to keep a colour scheme & theme through-out a signature which generally relates to the render that you use.

Also make sure the font you use is positioned around where your focal point is. In the Mew signature you havn't really got a focal point as there are 2 renders & text in the bottom corner.

I think what stands out most is the colour's you have used though. The first should use similar colours to the render but you have done the opposite in using black.

Again the Mew sig should have colours that match the personality of Mew.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention also you need to work on smudging techniques & various filters, brushes & lighting.

I know this all seems to be negative but I hope that you can see it as constructive criticism.

No blending and font should be placed closer to focal points. The background of the second one is nice.

The second signature the big render looks stretched also, very.. very... blurry :S
forgot my rating,
6/10

It was a rating of 6/10 because bad text, blurry renders,Renders over borders.

1st looks realy good, second, the image to the left looks realy resized and looks kind of fail.

The second one looks better than the first.

Not bad on either of them for a beginner.

6/10

RE: 2 New Sig Basic - Roro - 06-27-2010

You need to work on blending your render more with your sig and not just placing it as the top layer.
To do so try smudging and erasing over the render, adding C4D's and erasing over the render but keeping a bit of it there.
