ok, i installed it and everything and now my volume wont work.. any help please?

It could be on mute?
System>Preferences>Sound (check it's not on mute)

If it's not in the settings it could be a driver problem.

Please do 'lspci' in the terminal and copy/paste the output.

If you've just installed it then it's most likely on mute. I thought I had a problem when I first installed it but then I realized that it was muted xD
