Grammar Help - Red - 05-25-2010 Writing an essay really quick I need to check if my sentence is grammatically correct. Their differing interactions with society cause the reader to either encounter sympathy, or the lack of. RE: Grammar Help - Buffy - 05-27-2010 Differing interactions with society either provoke sympathy or the lack thereof. (One does not encounter sympathy; they must feel this emotion, so provoke works). If you must say "the reader" in the sentence, write "from the reader" after thereof. Thereof is correct. |
