Use a plane text with opacity about 50%-60%
Make it a big smaller (Helps to be smaller, less size looks nice you know)

Apart from that i think its ok, but i think the text really over powers it, i cant stop looking at it Unsure

Sorry but I really don't like this.

- Change the font
- Try out different font effects
- Work on blending
- Decrease the size (I think around 450x150px would suit that signature).
- Change the placement of the text

Adding some of these things will surely improve it.

Try different smudging brushes & maybe edit them to suit your needs. Use more layers & play around with the layer blending modes. Keep to a certain colour scheme. You should also read up on some tutorials if you get a bit stuck.

Hope this helps.

You must have border also, otherwise I'll rate it 4/10 for being your first one.

RE: first attempt at a siggy - Plasma - 05-08-2010

biggest complaints for me are the background and the font..I would look at sig tutorials to look at font tuts if your not gonna be using a render. learn a simple 3d effect or mirror effect and it will look really high end. experiment with blending options and brushes. overall i really do like it but to me the background makes it look bland...Good Job Smile
