Forum Tabs - WhightKnight - 04-11-2010 I wanted to know how to set up Forum Tabs on my SMF forum, just like this website and HF has. I consider "Home", "Coding Support", "Computer Support", and "Webmaster Support" forum tabs. OR, if someone can show me how to convert my SMF 2.0 RC 3 forum to MyBB, that would be greatly appreciated as well. (I only found a conversion script for SMF 1.11) RE: Forum Tabs - Shadow Soul - 04-11-2010 It's a plug in. Your best bet is to switch to mybb. RE: Forum Tabs - WhightKnight - 04-11-2010 1. It is a plugin for MyBB...I use SMF 2. There is also a way to edit code for your MyBB theme to install the tabs (I think), but I'd like to know how to do this on SMF 3. I need it for SMF. There are no plugins that do such a thing for SMF. 4. I can't switch to MyBB, there are no conversion scripts for it. RE: Forum Tabs - Tim - 04-11-2010 That plugin, along with all the other plugins used here and at HF are available at Omni's MyBB addon site, here is a link to the tab plugin http://www.mybbcentral.com/thread-2439.html Your best bet to convert from SMF 2 to MyBB is to go SMF 2 > phpBB 3 > MyBB Use a converter like this: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=1013655 Then the MyBB converter. RE: Forum Tabs - BrainDeadFreak - 04-11-2010 It's a plug in and it's not free. I'll test that out with my crappy / un-released forums. If it works, I'll do it to my popular forums. Thanks again RE: Forum Tabs - Pk3r_Pjer - 04-18-2010 U gotta be a subscriber on mybbcentral. Otherwise u won't be able to download the plugin. RE: Forum Tabs - richy1913 - 05-16-2010 heres a tut on how to create that effect in mybb using jquery, its not very pretty but it works and its free im sure the process for SMF is similar http://community.mybb.com/thread-62039.html RE: Forum Tabs - Miku - 06-07-2011 how do you control which cat. goes to which tab? Admin CP, Forums & posts tab, On the side menu click Tab Menu, Click add then enter the tab name and hold CTRL while clicking on the categories you want to go under that tab. |
