Regarding HF - lolz0r - 02-23-2010

Me and some other fellow HF users from Holland are banned for a few times now due the DDoS attacks from our country. As you might understand it is pretty annoying to get banned while you're selling stuff on HF. I, for example, got a payment for a service but I couldn't provide the user the service I promised because I didn't had access to my PMs (where he sent his info). If it is possible, I would like to request a IP whitelist for some of the "good" HF users.

Regards,
Ferhat aka lolz0r Smile

Would using a proxy or VPN help in the meantime? It sounds like a tricky situation to resolve.

Well, I respect Omni's ban, so I won't be evading it. Else I wouldn't make this topic Smile
But thanks for the suggestion, always welcome!

Would that be ban evading? I didn't realise so. Sorry for the suggestion. Smile

My thinking process was this. HF is a white hat forum > it has a Proxy and VPN section > white hat use is security and privacy.

I hope it gets resolved for you soon, mate.

I my case, it would Smile
But you are right when saying that other people use proxies and VPNs for privacy reasons.

This is not Hack Forums. The discussion of HF is forbidden here. Omniscient will not whitelist any IPs, not even his own. You will just have to wait until the DDoS stops. I highly suggest that you use a proxy. I know it's against Omniscient's policy, but many people do it and haven't been punished, as of yet.
