PSU Blows, Now Applications Die! - leyton - 01-30-2010 Hi All, I must admit I was most upset when I got home on thursday, and my room smelt of burning, upon waking my pc to shut down so I could take it apart, the PSU blew, and that was the end of it. I went and has a fish around some old PC carcasses and found a 500Watt PSU, which is powerful enough to run my PC till my new one arrives. However, I have started to notice that since, when loading a few Programs, the complain and close - much like VMWare is doing here: Is there any reason for this, and how can I stop it from happening? Thanks, RE: PSU Blows, Now Applications Die! - Jordan L. - 01-30-2010 It looks like you're missing some libraries, .dll files. Have you tried reinstalling it? RE: PSU Blows, Now Applications Die! - leyton - 01-30-2010 Well, I have had a similar error on other Apps, and any re-installs have just give the same error upon first startup of the App. I am currently running a bootup diskcheck, and if the error is still there I'll give a reinstall a go, but I'm not 100% sure it will solve the issue. RE: PSU Blows, Now Applications Die! - leyton - 01-30-2010 Reinstalled - no difference. RE: PSU Blows, Now Applications Die! - Jordan L. - 01-30-2010 Did you reinstall the Applications or the actual Operating System itself? |
