[not PC] help me fix my mp3 player - Treblez - 01-01-2010

Im not sure if this is the right section but... I bought a cheap mp3 player about a month ago. It worked fine but then I forgot it in the USB for a bit longer and it wont start now.. it has li-ion battery.. Im not sure what is the reason. when i plug it in the usb its recognized and i can browse the files, but when i remove it just wont turn on - blank display. So if manage to dig the firmware from somewhere and reinstall it should this fix it ? And how should i reinstall the firmaware ?? Im on linux (if this matters)

edit: LOL it got fixed the same mysterious way it got broken .. i love those Chinese thingys ! Please remove the thread

Does it charge off the computer when you plug it in?
It might just need a battery change. Or perhaps Linux has formatted it or something, and now it can't operate. Reinstalling the firmware would be a good idea. What Model MP3 Player is it? And what brand?
