Mybb Custom Spinner? - RPicard - 12-19-2009
Hey, I'm curious as to what goes into a custom spinner. I noticed that HF has one that's pretty good looking, and there's a Super Mario one on Mybboard.net. I'm a little confused on how to make one for myself.

Well its quite simple really. You need a basic animation progam, save it as a gif or Ipng (Whichever your theme uses) and save it as spinner_big (for the large one) and for the smaller one just spinner

I see...gif animation seems like to much work to me.

Now before everyone comes with Flash, I'll be the first to say NO FLASH....
That's flash abuse....
If you have Photoshop then I would say look at animation tutorials, as it's not hard to learn....
You can make much better GIFs then with Flash, imo.
When I was using PS, I did all animations with it and they were awsome!

Thanks. I found one on there that should be perfect.
Okay well I made one and uploaded it to the theme's image directory and the root image directory but neither works. The old spinner is still showing up.

Animation is pretty simple in PhotoShop, if you already use it, I would learn how to use the animation feature (image ready or some crap in PS7 or less).

I did that. Now I have the whole spinner block. It's taking the whole thing as just the spinner though. How do I replace the original block with the new one?

I never seen super mario on mybboard.net
I would love to have super mario spinner.
I really hate the default spinners that come with mybboard.
I just checked mybboard.net site and it do not have super mario spinner.
It must be another site with custom mybb forums.
