Is it possible to get a higher screen res than the highest it will go? - Mozz - 12-16-2009 Is it possible to get a higher screen res than the highest it will go? Mine will only go up to 1024 x 768, i can get it higher but that means gettin new drivers, and the only driver i can find messes my pc up, "see my other posts" Could do with going up sum res to like 1280 RE: Is it possible to get a higher screen res than the highest it will go? - DAMINK™ - 12-16-2009 It depends on your graphics card. If for example you are using only the onboard then yes 1024x768 would be about max. You really need to resolve the driver problem first mate. Do some research. I will send you a pm. Might help. RE: Is it possible to get a higher screen res than the highest it will go? - Omniscient - 12-16-2009 It also does depend on the monitor. Each will have it's limitations. You can't software past hardware most of the time. Sorry mate. I dont think i can offer anything else to solve this. I really hoped it was power saver mode. RE: Is it possible to get a higher screen res than the highest it will go? - Mozz - 12-16-2009 yea no problem m8. ill have a look in bios settings for power save mode give this one last try, thanks again ;) Well Well, iv'e just bin on my bios setting and i found this "Enabled" *LCD Panel Power Saving* I have now set it to "Disabled" and i hope to god it works now. Just got to wait now and see what happens. Well i must say its not worked i was just on a game and it booted me of server then screen went off straight away. im thinking this is now a hardware problem, maybee sumthing inside the laptop is now faulty. gonna take it apart and have a look, recent cmos battery and if this fails then a new laptop it is. |
