Domain appraisal - Skill - 12-14-2009 I have decided that I no longer want to run my own forum, therefore, I am considering selling http://www.gadgetforums.net. How much do you think I could sell it for? All appraisals will be appreciated. Thank you. RE: Domain appraisal - Grizzly - 12-14-2009 Why do you no longer want to run it? Well, you could probably get $25 or so for it, depending. It would be much more valuable if it were developed. RE: Domain appraisal - iHeartWindows - 12-14-2009 Considering the amount of members you have, probably 30-40$. I really don't know how you would get more. Maybe create a bunch of randoms? Haha. RE: Domain appraisal - Dutchcoffee - 12-14-2009 You could probably get anywhere from $25 to $50 for it. However, I really don't think the amount of members will help get him that much. But, it really depends, I'd personally start a thread selling it for $50 and then if that doesn't go over in a few days, slash it down to $30 and try again. It needs to be run by someone who has the determination and will power to make it a success. At the moment, I don't have that mindset. The forums were inactive, that's another reason why I have given up. I know I needed to some how get the name about but I felt as though it was wasting my time. I'm sure the new owner, if a sale occurs, will develop http://www.gadgetforums.net and make it a success, like I once dreamed of. Thank you all for your appraisals. RE: Domain appraisal - Grizzly - 12-15-2009 Have you tried registering an account at http://forums.digitalpoint.com and posting there with a link in your sig? Namepros.com as well. Many other random forums (especially as close to the topic as you can get without spaming or being banned form that forum) is a great way to get membersl. Yeah, that's a great way to get members. That's worked for me before, I've gotten about 30+ members just from doing that; but it does take some work. RE: Domain appraisal - Grizzly - 12-16-2009 It's the best way to go if you don't have a marketing budget for the site yet. |
