Linux mint blank extended desktop - Tim - 12-11-2009 I have a strange problem, I run Linux Mint and I have the Nvidia drivers installed. I usually run dual monitors but I don't have my second screen with me at the moment and wont for a few weeks. It seems to think that the second screen is there but because it isn't plugged in it just shows a black desktop which when I move my mouse to the right edge of my screen slides over. If I set my resolution back to my single monitor resolution it seems to cut of the good side and only shows the black side so I cant do anything. Any Ideas? RE: Linux mint blank extended desktop - Tim - 12-12-2009 Ok I have solved this by manually editing the xorg file RE: Linux mint blank extended desktop - Uhriventis - 12-12-2009 Any display problems always start with the Xorg file. A lot of the times a fix can be as easy as reverting to mesa drivers until you can find the proper solution. |
