what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - EnRaged - 12-10-2009 i have a very underdeveloped arcade site, so far it's getting around 300 UV's monthly, is there any arcade owner here to share their experience on how drive traffic to their arcade site? and if it's possible could you share only free methods, cause i don't have a lot of money to invest and i already tried mibbi.com and i received traffic while i was paying but when i ran out of money traffic stopped, and there were no earnings for me from it... anyone? RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - RPicard - 12-10-2009 I was going to create an arcade site but I ended up merging it with one of my current sites. You can check it out at http://arcade.flvs.info. Link exchanges are a popular method of getting visitors between arcade sites. I would recommend visiting an arcade owners forum such as http://talkarcades.com or http://forum.avscripts.net and posting a request for a link for link exchange. Aside from that you should try social bookmarking, directory submissions, and other general SEO and advertising techniques that aren't specific to arcades. I believe you could find a few arcade directories to submit to actually. Good luck! Oh and just so you know this is in the wrong forum. This should be in the SEO, Marketing, and Website Promotion section. A mod will probably move it but it's no biggie. RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - Grizzly - 12-10-2009 Honestly, if you're not investing money, you're not going to drive a lot of traffic. RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - EnRaged - 12-10-2009 you're right i did pick the wrong forum for this topic...sorry mods.. so far i promoted proxy's, arcades are much harder to promote then proxy's, or is it just me... Arcades are a dime a dozen, that's why they're so much harder to promote. Proxies are extremely populous too but they come and go as they get detected. RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - Grizzly - 12-10-2009 Yeah, I can think of about 5 sites I know of that I go to every once in a while when I'm bored. And they are probably 5 times better than what you have. Are you games original or are they just the same ones as every other arcade site has? RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - EnRaged - 12-10-2009 it's what every other arcade site has, even less then that, look here http://darcade.info/ i know it's horrible, but i thought i could have somewhere between 500-1000 UV's monthly... i will try link exchange, and see how that goes. RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - broken_machine - 12-10-2009 Well I am going to be getting you some traffic via sending this link to all my buddies and random peoples at school (they don't block it) So garuntee a little influx... not to bad of a arcade site though.. RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - EnRaged - 12-10-2009 thanks a lot, for the traffic and the comment.... RE: what's the best way to drive traffic to an arcade site? - RPicard - 12-10-2009 The white ads with blue text take away from the site a lot, they don't go with the theme at all. You should center the site, instead of it being all the way to the left. I can see that you're using the avscripts arcade. If you're unsure about how to modify the theme so that it's centered, you should post at the avscripts forum and see if the designer is still around. You could also try posting in the web design section here. |
