What is TLD (Top Level Domain)? - joellee - 04-16-2020

The letters that are present at the end of a website address are said to be TLD(Top Level Domain).

Examples of top-level domains include the oldest and most recognizable .com, .net and .org.

The TLD identifies something about the domain associated with it, like the website’s geographical area where it originates, purpose or the organization that owns it. Examples include .au for Australia, .edu for educational, and .com for commercial sites.
