[Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - FuturisticOdyssey - 11-20-2009 Hello, I've recently completed this button set, which I'd like to call "Simple Yet Effective." Like they are called, they are simple, yet effective. Preview What do you all think? Message me for the zipped files. RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - Jordan L. - 11-20-2009 They're really good work. Nice job sir RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - FuturisticOdyssey - 11-20-2009 Thanks Trilobyte! Did you like the chalky effect of the text? RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - ElephantShoe - 11-20-2009 Is it me but do they look a bit blurred? Also, did you mean to put the white around the corners on purpose? I'd imagine you would want them to be transparent. Another thing, the one that says "Closed" looks like it's off center vertically. And I think you forgot to stroke the "Quote" button. RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - FuturisticOdyssey - 11-20-2009 No, it's the background of this forum that the transparency does not agree with. If you look at it here it looks great, as does any other place with a light colored background. Closed, as you mentioned, is centered off vertically, great eye. And blurred, no? It can be the chalky effect of the text. RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - Jordan L. - 11-20-2009 (11-20-2009, 08:29 PM)FuturisticOdyssey Wrote: Thanks Trilobyte!Yes, it looks very nice. RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - FuturisticOdyssey - 11-20-2009 Figured that, because it looks well elsewhere. *Shrug.* One man's ceilings is the next man's floor. Well, it goes fine with that forum because it's white, but it still isn't transparent. =] Meaning, if you were to use them on a darker colored forum, it would be white, which you already know. I was thinking they were blurred because "Closed" looks way more sharpened then the other buttons. RE: [Button Set] Simple Yet Effective - FuturisticOdyssey - 11-20-2009 Well they are faded to a 46 percent. Except for closed. And, it's transparent, trust me. If it was me I would just get some chalk font. :] http://www.deviantart.com/#catpath=resources&order=9&q=chalk+font Those ones aren't too great but Google has more to offer if you're interested. Also, I just saved the image to check if it was transparent. Of course it looks transparent on lighter boards, but on darker, it's not transparent. The image itself is not transparent on lighter boards either, it just looks that way, there is a difference. Sorry if it seems like I'm coming at you hard, but I'm just trying to help. So, if anyone wants to use these on a darker board, they're going to run into some issues. =\ This board is infamous for the fact that it can't support PNG24 (I think) transparent avatars uploaded straight from your computer, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with it. |
