plug and play web cam problem - Spykei - 11-17-2009

guys.. my web cam (plug and play type) wont show any video in WLM 2009, but windows (windows 7) shows that the driver (windows driver) is installed and up to date.... any ideas?Bebe-pleure

First of all, try this:
  • Log in to Windows Live Messenger.
  • Click Show Menu in the right hand corner and then click Show the menu bar.
  • Click Tools on the menu bar and then click Audio and video setup.
  • Click Next and then select your webcam from the drop down list.
  • Click Finish.
Your webcam should now be set up.

If this doesn't help, let me know and i'll try to find another solution for you.

I'm also having a problem close to this but my built in webcam doesnt work and it shows that the drivers are working for it. any help?

I get this trouble on XP tho, it says my cam is in use... When it's clearly not :/

mine works fine with Ubuntu xp and Vista..just not win7
