Converting MyBB 1.4.9 Database to IP Board 3.0.4 - Backslash - 11-14-2009
Hi I was curious as how i should do this, because I tried a converter but I am really lost with it, so has anyone done this before?

How big is the forum you converted? Also what spurned you for the change?

Well its not big, maybe 350 posts, 30 members. i am working on that ;)
but I'm not sure what made me convert, mainly the HQ of themes they have and also the features like the hooks, and the shoutbox... but Yeah probably in the eyes of you or another webmaster, it wasn't a necessary conversion.
MyBB is nice, but IPB just has alot more to offer to my goals.

No shame in converting. I was just curious. I would also choose IPB imho over VB but I am very content with MyBB. I can't be bothered paying $200 for a license everytime I want to start a forum.

MyBB has loads of hooks and about 5 shoutbox plugins.
I'd go with IPB over vB if it were my money too but I have no need to pay for it, I have no sites big enough.
