Why is This? - Idiot #1 - 11-11-2009

Why does speed test say I can download at 10 Mbps and when I try to download something it downloads at around 100-300 Kbps?

The files you download aren't being uploaded as fast as your internet is capable of downloading them.

What does that mean?

He couldn't have said that any simpler. You are trying to download a file. The file is uploaded by wherever it is stored. The upload speed is not as fast as what your maximum download speed is.
