Algebraic trig proofs - The_Digital_Soldier - 12-04-2012 Ok, I'm barely understanding proofs and have caught a snag, I need your guy's help on this question: (1-cos^2x)(cscx) = sinx I keep getting 1 for the left side as an answer. RE: Algebraic trig proofs - FireMonkeyFun - 12-09-2012 Working on the left side the next step would be making (1-cos^2x) become sin^2x. Then you convert cscx to 1/sinx and then you get sin = sin. RE: Algebraic trig proofs - The_Digital_Soldier - 12-14-2012 Oh ok, I get it now, took me a bit to figure where you got sinx from sin2x, anyway, thank you |
