[Tutorial] Photoshop Movie Effect - Snow. - 08-04-2012 ![]() Photoshop Movie Effect Tutorial ------------- Tools Needed: - Stock Image: Link - 25min of your time. ------------- Credits: Me. ---------------------------------------------------- Step 1 Open the stock photo in PS. Now we're going to reduce the saturation to -76 by Pressing - CTRL+UAnd set the parameters as in the Image below. ![]() Now we're going to apply Exposure, Go to Image>Adjustments>Exposure... And set the parameters as in the Image below. ![]() Step 2 Duplicate the last layer by clicking CTRL+D Now we are going to add A little Blur to the image by going to Filter>Blur>Lens Blur Use the image below to adjust you parameters. Spoiler (Click to View) Focusing. Now Add a new layer mask to the Duplicated layer, Choose the Brush tool and set the Size to about 160px, set the color to Black and brush hardness to 0 and start brushing till you get something like this. ![]() Now Create a New Layer, Select the Paint Bucket Tool Change it's opacity to 70% and fill it with black. Now select the Erase Tool and erase the Focus Area. You will get something like this. ![]() Step 3 click on random layer in the layers panel with your Right mouse Click and select Flattern Image this should merge all the layers to 1. Next go to Filter>Noise>Add Noise and adjust the parameters as shown in the image below. ![]() Next We'll be creating the Movie effect, Press CTRL+B to bring up the Color balance window and adjust the Midtones,Shadows,Highlights according to the parameters in the images below. ![]() ![]() ![]() Final step! Select the Rectangular Tool and create a new selections filled with Black to make it looks like Cinema Scopes. DONE.
