I personally best like MyBB, because of it many options, also it is easy to make new plugins to and there are a ton of existings plugins on their site for free.

I have been coding MyBB Plugins for myself for like 2 years, it is not that hard to learn to developer custom plugins.

Just my vouch on MyBB.
