Not sure what's going on? - AndyMan - 12-10-2011 Hi there, this is my first run at using HijackThis. I hope I'm doing it right Basically things are running very slowly,I get a windows explorer error when trying to open "C" Drive and I'm not sure if it's software related or what but my USB ports have been running really slow since putting an Analogue to Digital video capture thumbdrive in ages ago(yes I took it back to the chain-store and told them)...it may be my motherboard with this??? I did uninstall all usb stuff completely and rebooted many times but the ports keep coming up with the"This Device......" ;) OK here's the HJT file: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4 Scan saved at 4:14:26 PM, on 11/12/2011 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.6001.18702) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\CTAudSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_state.exe C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012\avp.exe C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\BTNtService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\cisvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ctsvccda.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\nTune\nTuneService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\IoctlSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Search Enhancement Pack\SeaPort\SeaPort.exe C:\Program Files\Secunia\PSI\PSIA.exe C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil\StartSkysolSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\System Update\UpdateCenterService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\MsPMSPSv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\SearchIndexer.exe C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\nTune\nTuneCmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTHELPER.EXE C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\SetPoint.exe C:\WINDOWS\vsnp2std.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\RunDLL32.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\LogiShrd\KHAL3\KHALMNPR.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe C:\Program Files\Epson Software\Event Manager\EEventManager.exe C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012\avp.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Spybot - Have I been Hacked or Phished? Here's the email "AndyMan, ๖ۣۜмσg тιмєz has just replied to a thread which you have subscribed to at Support Forums. This thread is titled Not sure what's going on?. Here is an excerpt of the message: ------------------------------------------ You've probably got a virus hidden in your processess named "winlogon" or something, they are smart and name their viruses that victims won't detect as suspicious.... (visit the thread to read more..) " I did find a .RND file in the C directory before it would give an error and close which was related to recently updating my Codec's after searching and found ffdshow.something??? could be the problem,so I shredded the .RND file in safe mode and Revo'd K-Lite,restred to an older version. All seems to be OK but I'm a but worried about the email and still not sure if I'm bug free. Thanks for your views so far. I see the user's account has been deactivated!
