How to straighten naturaly messy hair? - Maku - 12-04-2011

I'm one of those people with messy/curly hair.
I do a fauxhawk most of the time, but it always looks messy.
Any tips?

Combing or straighting your hair before you try anything or just was it and comb it out.

haha i had this same problem, i grew my hair out to a little past shoulder length and i am part indian so naturally my hair was very thick and wavy. i would wash it and brush it, i would straighten it, but not even all of that plus the weight and gravity on my hair would help for too long, before the end of the day my hair would be curling up at the ends, very wavy, ALWAYS thick and just hard to manage. i would suggest a hair cut to thin out your hair maybe or try some special shampoos and conditioners. product might work.

Don't use gel when you straighten your hair. That will make it very thick and... "greasy", plus weighed down. Look at a local beauty supply store for "texturizing" product. They give you "texture" to hair, which means is gives definition and a "wild" look to it.
