Linux Questions - Howell - 10-24-2009 About to switch from xp to linux mint a few questions My default system recovery hp thing is windows xp so if i dont want linux anymore can i just use system recovery to go back to xp or do i need an xp disc Will mint screw up my drivers? Can i do normal things on xp on mint? like microsoft powerpoint and others? RE: Linux Questions - Solidus - 10-24-2009 Linux Mint has a Microsoft Office like program built in. It will not screw up your drivers. Yes, you can switch back to XP at any time. Why not dual boot? RE: Linux Questions - Fade - 10-24-2009 Id go with iBruteforce and duel boot them. mint and xp do the same basic things and anything you want is free with linux. Drivers should work fine. I'd make the switch RE: Linux Questions - Tim - 10-26-2009 If you want you can try a program called Wubi so you can easily install and uninstall ubuntu to try it out. Alternativley you can use a Virtual Machine, google Virtual Box. |
