Overheating - Boomer - 05-17-2011 I have a Compaq CQ50 and it always overheats. Any way to get around this? RE: Overheating - Deltron - 05-17-2011 Install fans in your case. RE: Overheating - Untouch - 05-17-2011 It's a laptop isn't it? Get a laptop cooling fan or cooling pad / stand. RE: Overheating - Lulz - 05-29-2011 Get new fans. RE: Overheating - INC3PT!0N™ - 06-13-2011 cooling mat would be ideal, im looking for a good one RE: Overheating - USN - 06-13-2011 Where do you have it sitting? RE: Overheating - versx - 07-11-2011 Assuming it's a laptop: 1. Clean the inside of it, especially all the fans. Those dust bunnies love to stop those fans. 2. Buy a laptop cooling mat. If you need help choosing one you can always send me a PM. 3. All of the above. Hope this helps. *EDIT* It could also be the thermal compound for the processor, might be a little bit old and dried up. Also, make sure your not leaving leaving it on a surface that may block the fans. RE: Overheating - Blic - 07-12-2011 Had the same problem, fixed it by getting a massive fan mat that my HP dv6 sits on. RE: Overheating - xofogox - 07-17-2011 Get some compressed air (aka "duster") and spray it in to the fans/vents. |
