Photoshop CS5 Help - GrammarPhreak - 03-17-2011

Okay, I have had it on my laptop for the trial days (30) & it expired the other day, so I deleted it, thinking I could reinstall it to start another trial. Now, every time I install the package, the actual Photoshop program doesn't pop up in the folder where it should be (with all the adobe folder that installs when you download Photoshop CS5). Can someone help me out?

Thanks,

Well I downloaded the trial and put in a serial provided to my by someone but I had to stop it from updating or it would say invalid serial. I honestly don't know how to fix your problem. Try using a VPN to download it?

Why would you use a VPN to download it? The source of your problem would most likely be within your registry for values that got left behind after the uninstall. That would be my first guess. It's the same thing with AV's for people that like to try and reinstall the trials all the time. That would defeat the purpose of buying it, if the company wants you to actually be able to test out the full functionality of their security program to be impressed by it.

Did you uninstall it correctly?
I know if you enter lots of fake serials in adobe products then when they don't let you enter anymore, parts of the files wont delete after you uninstall.
You need to manually delete them.
Anyway if you'd like a solution you can pm me. Smile

Run CCleaner and clean the registry
then install it again
that should work

Thank you! I read it and I think the reason why it crashes because I installed font collection to my computer a year ago and I think some of the writings were not compatible with the program. It's fixed now and hopefully stays that way!

You should redirect the Adobe Support Site to 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file. This would block it to check if you have entered a Serial Number.Problem is, that you should do that before the trial expires.
