Hosting your own domain? - Epicly - 01-30-2011

I remember seeing a thread on HF, but me being banned I can't get that resource anymore. So I'm asking what type of domains can I register on my own like .free or something in that nature. Or if you have a tutorial on how to then please link or least post if you can help! Oui

If you mean URL redirection, here you are:

http://www.co.cc/
http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en

There are many free domains like .co.cc, .cz.cc, .co.nr, and so many. They are free and they also offer DNS with their domain names.

Well I understand that silly, I own an awesome .tk domain named awwsome.tk. But what I'm asking was how to host my own domain at home using my ISP. I understand it'll be slow and everything.

Or you can register .tk domains at dot.tk

I also want to know how to do this because I have been using Everydns.net for this and now they are gonna start charging for service.

Are you asking how to host your own domains? Or the files for the domains. You can't make your own domains, that has to be done through icann, but you CAN host the files for your domain using Xampp/Wampp/etc.

I'd also like to know this, sounds quite cool imo.
