Beginer Question - Oceanus - 01-10-2011

I want to learn how to make a website. So i decided that i would make one and learn while doing. I took a website that i go to watch anime Website link and i will try to create one similar. My question is how would i go about doing it. I fell like if I put the website out there i would work harder on it and i have 100$ to invest so I though i would get a host and name on anhosting.( if there's one better that not in America please tell me). Thank you for helping out.

For hosting, you could give Sick Host a try. We're both extremely reliable and affordable - http://sickhost.net

As far as learning how to develop your own website goes, I'd look into learning HTML, CSS and PHP for starters.

You can do all of that at http://w3schools.com

Well to be honest to actually start a website you must also be already familiar with the topic.

A free webhost which is good to use whilst learning and developing your website is 000webhost.com

Once you want a more stable connection, and quicker website, you can move to 000webhost.com's paid service which is under the name of hosting24.com - They have basic hosting from $8 a month.

To have a good website which allows users to login, register and numerous other features, you'll need to learn PHP as well as HTML and CSS.

w3schools is a real great way to start like said above, I recommended it to all beginners. ;) Good luck!

Small thing tho, NEVER, use templates, even if it looks cool, learn yourself ;)!

I don't recommend free hosting for one second. It's unreliable and they can just take you off with a click of their fingers.

I take it when you say "make a website" you mean a proper website where depth coding is required. If you want to learn HTML/CSS/Javascript etc then as the above have said, head over to http://w3schools.com.

If you just want to make a forum then I can help.

Use co.cc for the domain. It's free!

Don't user free hosting for serious projects!
Use free hosting only for testing your website!

Now,if you whant to make a webiste with anime videos HOSTED on YOUR website, you will need a lot of bandwidth and disk space but,if you are going to embed videos on your site from other sites, you wouldn't be need a lot of bandwidth and disk space and I think you should decide what are you planing to do with this and then move forward ;)
