I've seen a few sites do it, with little to no end benefit other then a few higher google ranks.

Probably good. More views and less clicks on ads = less of a chance of Google AdSense suspending you, implying you use it.

How about using Easyhits4u? There is a bot for it.
If you only want views, you can use this http://freemillionautosurf.com/. Download http://www.crazybrowser.com/ because its auto-surf without any captcha. The site lags Firefox and IE. Crazy Browser is the only way to go.

I personally would buy traffic for a site i owned. Depends on if you would make profit from it though.
