What HTPC Software? - Epicly - 12-23-2010

Well I need help deciding what software I should use for my HTPC? Should I lean towards the awesome slick XMBC or use the casual Boxee? Name any others please?

I would choose the casual Boxee Smile

I've been playing around with XBMC (inside Windoze for now, 'til I build my HTPC). Very impressed with it so far, save for the speed on the front-end; the self-contained version (built over Ubuntu) looks like a better option on a stand-alone box.

Omg I just realized how old this question is. XBMC is still worth a look for anyone interested in HTPC though.

As stated above the XMBC is very fun to mess round with.
