Rule Request - Headshot - 10-13-2009 Can we please have a.. Don't bump a 1 day old topic, or something like that? Only if the topic is a discussion, or active, or whatever.. But I don't know, some topics should not be bumped. RE: Rule Request - Solidus - 10-13-2009 There is a necroposting plugin where the user is alerted they are posting in a thread older than X days old. RE: Rule Request - Headshot - 10-13-2009 ^That would be a nice plugin too. RE: Rule Request - Grizzly - 10-13-2009 It really should be common sense. Obviously if no one has replied there really isn't a reason to bump a thread. If you have a thread that's gotten a few reply's to it, and it's a good thread, then maybe a bump is in order. Support requests should, IMO, be bumped after 24 hours. Maybe no more than once every 24 hours and no more than twice? RE: Rule Request - Solidus - 10-13-2009 I consider posting 7 days after the last post bumping. Anything less is fine. RE: Rule Request - p0w3r0fchr1st - 10-13-2009 ya. that sounds just about right. RE: Rule Request - Headshot - 10-13-2009 @Grizzly, common sense doesn't work for everybody.. specially some fags. Sometimes, me. xD RE: Rule Request - Grizzly - 10-13-2009 iBF I was talking about OP's bumping their own threads. I think if you're not adding something quality to the topic, such as a support request that really hasn't been answered, then there is no reason to go necro on a thread that, like you said, is 7+days old. RE: Rule Request - Headshot - 10-13-2009 OP's have the right to bump there topics.. RE: Rule Request - Grizzly - 10-13-2009 Yeah but there is no reason to do it within 24 hours of the original post. That's just dumb IMHO. As a matter of fact, about 10 minutes ago I read a topic where the OP bumped it after about 2 hours of posting. It was still on the first 5 or 6 threads in the section. |
