Animation in progress... [Please Comment] - Fragma - 10-06-2010
Ok so I previously made a thread showing a simple 14 frame line test of an animation I was working on. I've been doing a bit more to it and here is the outcome so far.. (Total of 47 frames).

The cat-like thing will then freeze in the air in a cartoonish cayote & road runner kind of style, then drop suddenly, landing on a rubbery cactus which will fling him into the side of the cliff.

The video so far is very short in length. But from what i could see, it looks ok.

Yeh I'm going to update the thread as I do more to it. This is what I have so far, the final animation will only be around 5 seconds long. (Which averages out to around 120 hand-drawn frames, which takes a hell of a long time to do. Especially when you think people working at Disney back in the 1930's were averaging at around 5 seconds a week).

I like it but perhaps the camera movements could move be smoother? I really think it's good though.

Yeh adjusting the camera movements is on my to do list. Along with adding more detail to the background, adding shadow under the character, and a few other bits and bobs to smooth it all out.

Thank Copper. I'm finding that using the rotoscoping technique is so helpful with creating smooth movements.

That's looking pretty good actually. About a quarter way done keep it up.
