Lightwieght CMS needed - xdemo - 08-21-2010 My site has been changing constantly for a long time now and iḿ fed up with starting from scratch, i have tried using wordpress, joomla, phpfusion, amongst other blog/cms setups but its not what iḿ looking for. I haven´t really got the time to code one from scratch especially making sure its secure. I need to stick with something that doesnt contain all the bloat and un-needed plugins. Something that is easy to customize (centralized stylesheet or something). Im pretty much hosting a small site for uploading projects im working on. So it doesn´t need a whole lot of stuff built in. What im looking for: - Blog style ¨news/updates¨ - Admin area w/ post edit etc - Gallery / screenshots page - User comments You could say that is typically a blog iḿ looking for, i find a blog is a nice template to use as a cms, except wordpress amongst others are full of bloat... whats a lightwieght blog system that has the above features i mentioned? Cheers ~ RE: Lightwieght CMS needed - Sam - 08-21-2010 Have you tried Xoops? RE: Lightwieght CMS needed - timestandstill - 08-22-2010 http://tangocms.org/ and http://wolfcms.org/ are both amazing. Tango is a little more advanced, but Wolf is extremely simple with no fluff at all. RE: Lightwieght CMS needed - Deities - 08-22-2010 http://tangocms.org/ I know the User above has already posted it But I think this is the best way to go. RE: Lightwieght CMS needed - `P R O D I G Y™ - 08-25-2010 I have used wolfcms, and it's very lightweight and easy to use. |
