I've only used Fraps to capture the screen,
and then used Sony Vegas to edit and zoom in on the footage.

I currently use Camtasia Studio for my normal recording, but I prefer Fraps or Playclaw for recording in game videos.

I Haven't used a screen recorder in a while for PC purposes but i do use FRAPS for screen recording in my games.
