For me, Camtasia is still the best screen capturing software. Confusedmile:

If you will use it only for gaming, just use Fraps.

I personally like Camtasia most, It's very easy and good quality.

I just use Hypercam. Easy to use and free. Gets the job done.

I like Camtasia Studio. I dont have any gaming needs, so its pretty good for my normal screen recording and effects.

I use Fraps to record and use Cyberlink PowerDirector for voice overs and editing. Its a great combo and one I would advise trying out. Of course, you dont have to use Fraps. There are better ones out there =)

Camtasia Studio or hyper cam, only because it was the only one I knew when I recorded things.

One that I really prefer is http://www.screenr.com - You can publish directly to YouTube from it. The only problem is that videos can only be up to five minutes long.

Camtasia is for me the best screen recorder.
For games it will be WeGame. That is an awesome program.
