I had a laptop a few years back, really didn't like due to my high use of Photoshop, however a laptop was useful for portability and meeting clients. So just depends on what the purposes of your computer use is.

There is no Win Win. Make a neither option because laptop is a win because you can travel with it and its good for portable entertainment etc. Desktop is superior over laptop for programming, gaming and heavy multitasking.

Addicted gamer as I ? Desktop is the way( you can always do modding and overclocking better)

For work and specially for take with you? Laptop

If you are not a gamer the laptop is better because its portable Smile

I love my laptop, but I still have to go with Desktop.

I'm gonna go Desktop all the way...Laptops just don't have the power. And you can't really put new parts in it to keep it "up to date" so (although I have no particular animosity against laptops) I would say your best bet is a desktop.
