RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Resistance - 10-14-2010 If you want to erase the evidence from your hard disk drive, download Eraser, a great program for permanently erasing files. Doesn't matter, cops can't crack truecrypt, trust me on that one. It honestly sounds to me like you are overreacting, I very much doubt they are going to pursue you for whatever minor felony you committed. RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Hershey - 10-14-2010 I would change your ip (hoping you have dynamic) and reinstall your os on your computer to wipe everything clean! RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Zurmi - 10-15-2010 I'm taking a course in college titled 'Computer Investigation Techniques'. It's kind of hard to help you because you haven't told us anything about the crime you supposedly committed. The cops can contact the ISP and get the logs of when and where each IP was assigned too. Regards, Zurmi RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Zeon - 10-16-2010 I already have a dynamic IP, that doesnt' change anything. RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Cybr - 10-16-2010 @Zeon, #itsnotthatserious RE: I live in constat fear of the police - Zeon - 10-17-2010 Trust me, it is. Its not your usual "download copyrighted files/RAT someone" etc. I can't say what it is because if I post it here the police could use it as a conffesion. Basically, I think that the police have tracked my computer, and will arrest me soon. My family will hate for what I've done. Its been some time now but I still can't get it out of my head. I have nightmares about it, and my grades are falling because I can't think about anything else.Look, I will give you some tips: 1. Before do anything illegal, you must use Proxy(e.g. Hotspot Shield) 2. If you forgot or bypassed step 1, and you think you'll get caught by police or so, try to format your PC. Do NOT let ANYfile left in PC. 3. If you got WEP or WPA protection and so, you should delete the security passwords 4. After you do Step 3 you will have some evidence too and tell them that your WiFi got hacked and so. If they ask the neighbours and everyone says: "No, I didn't do that" then you can say that maybe one guy with a laptop came and searched for a wireless network and chosen random which was yours WiFi and so. Hope I helped you. |
