Personally I'd prefer the HTC HD 2, but that's because I don't like Apple. Also I don't like the drama that ensues with Apple when it comes to jailbreaking and unlocking.

The iPhone just has such a large application market I would put the iPhone above almost any phone. The Droid's market is slowly catching up, so in a year or two I might switch over to android OS.

I have never owned HTC and with my experience of iPhone I'd go with iPhone with my eyes blind.
