My friends cat drinks water from wherever he finds it. It is funny though.
One day, I dropped liquor on the floor and his cat ran for it.

nope. cat's mutation are stronger than humans. and their body is strong enough to defend some bad organisms.

I am not sure if that can make him "ill" it could cause problems in the future though not sure.

My dog drinks out of dirty water in our backyard even though he has fresh water on the deck, no worries.
