If u want to use a free Antivirus, i recommend you to use Avast antivirus. It's a very effective and popular antivirus. It works well against trozan viruses. So you should use it.

I can vouch for this, I've been using Avast! anti-virus for about two years now and I've yet to be infected; but you need to know, no anti-virus is perfect, you should keep an eye on every file you download, and make sure the sources are legitimate. (I hate to sound like the paperclip.)
