You won't get decent vectoring results on Photoshop. I'm more used to photoshop though so that might balance things out when I attempt this in illustrator lol. I need to look into some tutorials for that. I need to look into some tutorials for that. If you're good with Photoshop's pen tool, then you shouldn't have any problems with Illustrator. It's pretty much the same thing, only with more features, and an interface dedicated 100% towards vectoring. RE: First Character Trial - C4Vendetta - 03-13-2011 Looks good for a first. Try to add some basic shadowing. RE: First Character Trial - AceInfinity - 03-13-2011 (03-13-2011, 10:44 PM)C4Vendetta Wrote: Looks good for a first. Try to add some basic shadowing. I did, look more closely. I added shadowing under the bears chin, and under his hair, as well as gradients on the left and right side to create more depth on the character. I also added a slight shadow under the nose. RE: First Character Trial - C4Vendetta - 03-13-2011 Seen, needs moar though. Needs real shadowing around the body/arms/legs/face. Doesn't really need it. Depends on what style you're going for I guess. RE: First Character Trial - AceInfinity - 03-13-2011 Well, to be honest this was just a test lol. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I just seen some of Fragma's vectors and decided to try something of my own. |
