Eve I'm not sure if you're a girl or not, I don't mean to offend you either by saying this so I apologize in advanced but it's a lot different for a guy my age than a girl.
Romance still exists but only with girls I truly feel are compatible for me.
I'm not religious so sex before marriage does not apply to me, and as a 20 year old male I still have hormones rushing through my blood. I can't help it. If I see a woman that is attractive and we hit it off pretty well but I can already see what may piss me off in a long term relationship I will not put forth effort to try and fall in love with her. That just leads to hurt feelings and broken hearts. I wouldn't want that happening to me.
Now if I meet a girl that I gratefully respect and I feel extremely comfortable with I will hold off on sleeping with her just so I don't think with my dick. I know that if I sleep with her right away I will quickly get over since the chase is half the fun. I've accepted that as a man, that's just how I work. So if I truly feel we have something going in terms of a long relationship I can hold off and be a romantic.
Some girls just aren't worth it.
