I've tried using both and i've registered twice on each... i find wordpress the best as the widgets are just too many for you! You can select whatever widgets you want, links, categories, posts whatever... You can even create your own custom menu! Depending on what type of theme you want, you can have posts and the widgets placed to your liking.
Unlike wordpress.com i find blogger dull probably because i just dislike how blogging in blogger is. The dashboard doesn't provide you vital stats like wordpress does and you can't select cool themes like what wordpress has to offer! Well i haven't been in blogger for some time but i don't think it is good compared to wp. It's like when you're talking about coke or pepsi it's definitely coke! So it's definitely WP.
