RE: iMac heat problems - Shinkirou - 04-06-2010 Here's my current temperatures, running OSX, it looks like my airport card is causing most of the heat, god knows why. I'm gonna try a wired connection later, but if anyone has any other tips, feel free to post em. Pic: RE: iMac heat problems - Kye - 08-14-2010 Try an app called "SMCFan control" And run it at the highest setting RE: iMac heat problems - Houng - 10-11-2010 Hi, im new to macs. I recently bought a Powermac G5 dual 2.5. But i found out that i cant upgrade it beyond leopard b/c it isnt an intel core. I was thinking bout selling it and buying the new iMac but I cant help but think that there will be heating problems with everything being in the screen. Im not gonna be using it lightly, running Logic Pro 8 and an assload of vsts prolly. So i cant afford for it to go down in a year or 2...or 3. So can someone with a new iMac tell me if it has overhat problems or if it gets super hot (like the macbook pro). Thank you in advance. heating repair |
