At least your ISP isn't full of retards.

person "whats the issue sir?
Dad "I work for a ISP aswell, you have an error right *Insert random server stuff here* a simple restart of teh service will fix it"
Person "We have no issue there."
Dad "I just told you, it would be impossible to tell if you act-"
Person "Sir there is no issue there."
Dad. "... Yes there is. I cannot do this, i should be able to!"
Person. 'Sir there is no error."
Dad "Can i talk to a supervisor"
20 minutes later
SV "So i checked the place, you were right, thanks sir"
*Hangs up*

Just think though, how many "average" users they would have to deal with each day. I assume your voice hasn't broken either, meaning he would have been able to guess your age pretty cloesly. How many kids your age know ipconfig? I didn't!
