RE: Linux Mint Installation Problem - -Infectious - 08-13-2011 Oh, that is easy haha. Just get Roxio or something that burns ISO images, get a DVD-R disk, stick it in your comp, burn the images, let it burn, leave disc in, shutdown Computer properly, Boot up.. press either F8 or F12 to go to boot menu, find Boot From CD, And boot it from the DVD-R And then follow the steps. He has to use the ISO to create a Live Boot. Boot up the machine from the Live Boot on startup, and Install Linux from the live boot. My response to this is O_O. Mind jumping on TeamViewer with me again? xD RE: Linux Mint Installation Problem - AceInfinity - 08-13-2011 (08-13-2011, 03:43 PM)BreShiE Wrote: My response to this is O_O. That's impossible lol I can't do teamviewer to show you anything before the logon screen. You need to boot up the CD to boot the Linux live instead of your main windows OS, then install... If you're unsure on how to boot from a CD then you probably shouldn't be formatting your hard drive for Linux because you'll get yourself into trouble if you don't know what you're doing. The BIOS itself is pretty important to your system. Run a virtual linux on VMware or VirtualBox RE: Linux Mint Installation Problem - Solidus - 08-13-2011 http://www.supportforums.net/showthread.php?tid=641 Same principle, different iso. RE: Linux Mint Installation Problem - BreShiE - 08-13-2011 Okay, thanks for posting Solidus. I hope this works. If Solidus posted it you can almost guarantee that it works, he uses Linux as his main boot. I'm more of a Windows guy, but I do know a bit about Linux Mint. All you gotta do is burn the Iso to a disc. I would Recommend ImgBurn, since its VERY simple. http://www.imgburn.com/ Put the Cd in.... Reboot....Should boot to CD, if not, enter boot options. The Setup should be self explanatory from there. RE: Linux Mint Installation Problem - BreShiE - 08-16-2011 If I failed to mention this before I'm sorry, but I don't have any disks big enough to burn the ISO to. I'll have to purchase some when I get some money.
