I highlighted a keyword in your statement. It's not the same for everyone, and that love bond wouldn't be as strong after an incident like this. You have to earn that bond back.

Just because she loved him once doesn't mean she will always trust him regardless of what he decides to do, against her will

Give her some flowers, or if she lives in an apartment, sing a song infront of the apartment while she is looking out the window. I have seen this work many times.
