As I've said, you cannot suggest something to someone that's totally based upon personal opinion, you say MyBB but why, because it's one of the most easiest options of control.

MyBB has a lot of useful plugins, hence SF.
If you can't use MyBB, use SimpleMachinesForums.

I could help anyone out if they have any problems with installing their website and installing there website files.
I've been using MyBB for around a year now and from experience I could easily say it's the best free software out there.

MyBB is the best free forum software for me.
You probably did something wrong with the instructions or the configuration.
MyBB really has some great features and its plugins are very easy to install.
Also, it's simple and very easy to use and configure. :]
