I'd love to know and I will stop posting this the ridiculous conversation because it is just increasing post count . Your tone is very angry. Omniscient already announced he would not ever have upgraded ranks in member profiling such as HF." RE: Suggestion, lock our own topics. - iMario - 05-02-2011 Yes, we need that really and I think that only members witha certain amount of post can get that feature. Actually I think there are a couple more things I would like to be able to do. Such as viewing who rated my threads so I can thank them. If omni's wants to put a post count on these features I do see why, as more people would post and hence the site would grow bigger and more successful. Not only that, it will stop members signing up, posting a thread for discussion, then when someone disagrees with them, they lock it. Generally, members with a higher post count know more and don't get mad easily, because they have been here longer and know the rules. Assuming there posts are high-quality, of course. There is no need to carry this subject further. Thank You. As a sidenote quoting from the Help Docs: "Additionally, a moderator of a forum may have closed a thread meaning that users cannot reply to it. There is no way for a user to open such a thread without the help of a moderator or administrator." I think this settles this thread/case. RE: Suggestion, lock our own topics. - Tyler8746 - 05-02-2011 Agreed, yet in the first sentence you spelled which "witch" RE: Suggestion, lock our own topics. - Sam - 05-03-2011 Personally I have never needed to use this feature. But it's not that much of a drawback of not having it or that great having it. RE: Suggestion, lock our own topics. - Cobalt - 05-03-2011 I have had the need to use this feature. I am for this. It'd be great to have it, but not exactly necessary. RE: Suggestion, lock our own topics. - Bengan - 05-03-2011 I beleive upgraded member can do this already. |
